It is Freezing!!

It has been so cold lately. It started snowing Saturday night and then by Sunday we had 5+ inches and then it started to melt and now we still have about 2 inches. We are suppose to get more tonight and then 4 or more tomorrow during the day. Yesterday I didn't take a job because I couldn't find one in my home district and there is like no snow in the other district that I sub in so it is not a good indicator if I should drive or not! Plus in the other district that I sub in even if it late arrival teachers have to come on time- which is bogus because if one kid is missing then school goes on but if the teacher is missing then there is a problem. I would think the number one priority would be for the teacher to be safe but I guess not! This morning I had a job in my home district and I have not subbed there often so I was not sure about their policy. At about 7 the secretary called and said school is two hours late so you don't need to come until 9:45 (which is 2 hours later than normal)-- It was great I went back to sleep! It is suppose to snow a lot the next few days and it seems like we may not have school for the rest of the week!! That would be cool to start winter break early.. but on the other hand it is nice to make money. Right now it is about 23 degrees and it was 19 degrees at 10:00 this morning. My kids today (7th grade) were very hyper and they just want to be done. I just have a few people to buy presents for still and I have a few presents that I will be making. We put up our tree a few days ago-- it keeps falling half way over though so it is crooked. Afte school I am dropping some diapers and formula off at the food band because they really need it.

Catch-up

It has been a few months since I've posted -- so I decided it was about time. At the end of Septmeber Sam and I bought a house. We've been busy fixing it up to our style. Last weekend we installed stainless steel hardware on all of the cabinets so that it matches all of the appliances. I think that this really was a nice upgrade and it helps tie everything together. We also got some barstools to fit up to the counter in the kitchen and they look really nice as well. Our next projects include: painting the entire downstairs, painting and assembling the "video game" room (the new couch for downstairs has been purchased we are just waiting for it to be shipped), getting patio furniture for our 2 decks, and painting and setting up tool benches in the garage. We have already had two issues with the brand new appliances that came with the house. The first problem is minor- the ice machine stopped working on the fridge- The 2nd is major: The garage door opens whenever it feels like it- this poses as a problem because the door from the garage to the house does not lock. Luckily the town that we live in has been dubbed the safest city in the entire county. I read the "Sirens" section in the newspaper: Here are some real examples of what is printed in the section- #1 Man threw pop can and missed neighbor called police - police told man to pick it up and put it in the trash can. #2 Neighbors heard loud screaming from neighbor's house and called 911- police checked on the situation and neighbor's 5 year old daughter was throwing a temper tantrum. #3 Police were called when a neighbor reported seeing smoke coming from their neighbor's house. Police checked out the situation and found the neighbor standing over a bag of burnt popcorn. There are also a lot about police going to people's houses and letting them know that the door to their garage is not shut. Luckily nothing about me has been printed yet- also luckily our garage makes a loud noise so if we are home I can usually quickly go shut the door if I hear it opening itself up.

Thanksgiving Break: We went to my grandma's for dinner it was great as usual. We have the same exact food every single year- i don't think anything has been added to the menu in atleast 10 years if not more. Day after Thanksgiving. My grandma was not feeling well so she did not go with us. My mom, brother, and sister, and I braved Fred Meyers at 5:00am- When we got there- there was a big crowd of people waiting outside because they opened a few minutes late. It was freezing out so we waited in the car until the doors open. (side note: Sam told me yesterday he heard someone died from being trambled at Walmart on the day after Thanksgiving... I cannot imagine any worse place to die than Walmart!) We hit up the sales at Fred Meyers then went to Joanne Fabric: where waited in the cutting line for like 40 minutes. Next stop was Target, then Best Buy, Ross-- then on to the mall where we hit up a ton of stores. The mall was not very busy at all when we got there but when we left at noon it was really packed. I got most of my shopping done and stayed within budget- so that was a plus. We only have 4 or so more people to shop for. Also every year my best friend's mom is incharge of adopting families to sponsor for christmas through there church. I love to shop for the little kids-- since I have no little kids of my own and only one quite spoiled nephew. (We bought him a little mini pool table because when we came to our house he was really into our pool talble (which doubles as our dining room table: we just stick a table top on top of it) We also always buy a toy or 2 to give to Toys for Tots and a person at Sam's work had there house burn down last year and were in need of christmas decorations- so I went through ours a gave her a few. I bought a lot of lights to put up and my mom gave Sam his christmas present early (a ladder)- so we can put them up this weekend. We are going to hang white icesicle lights and blue lights down our path. If I get a chance I will put up pictures later...

September

So, since I did not even post one post in Septemeber I will now take the time to sum up September as a whole. August and September were very busy with house hunting. We found a lot of real "shit holes" in our price range but could not find anything nice. Finally at the beginning of the month we found a nice duplex in Duvall. We went through all the hoops and finally signed papers last Thursday. We moved in last weekend and now we are currently residents of Duvall. Duvall is a small town but it is nice and quiet. We can walk to a nice new park with a cute playground and fishing. We can also walk to a grocery store, bakery, and lots of other things faster than you can drive there. I have been subbing every day. I have been subbing middle school a lot. I really liked it the first few weeks of school but now the kids are starting to get attitudes. Tomorrow I will be starting a job. It is an added position that they are looking for a teacher for and I am the temporary replacement for the next 2 weeks. It is .4 - so 14 hours a week but actually I am working 21 hours a week because I am subbing for the main teacher 1 day each week as well. The main teacher is a friend of mine from college. I don't think I would want the actual job because it is .4 so that would stop me from getting any long term positions... but ya never know. This coming weekend is my brother's birthday (his 19th) and my husband and my brother and maybe me--- I have not decided yet are going to a Lego Convention.

news

So, I have been busy these past few weeks... let me fill you in to what I have been up to. Starting the week after the 4th of July I started working at a daycare. My main job is to take school age students on field trips...( this means I often get paid to sun bathe... I also get paid to eat a lot as well as ride in a car.) I also often work in the toddler room. (this is not my favorite thing to do considering I am not a big fan of changing diapers) This job keeps me busy I work at it 5 days a week as well as I tutor 2-3 days a week. Last week I took a vacation. Sam and I flew to Spokane. Sam's mom picked us up at the airport and let us use her car so we could travel around. My parents were at my cousin's cabin in Courdelain, Idaho.. so we went and stayed with them a few nights as well. This was a lot of fun..the weather was nice I got to wakeboard a lot and we also went to Silverwood-- their newest roller coaster is a lot of fun. We flew home on Friday and on Saturday I drove to Arlington to hang out with my sister. On Sunday their was a concert in Arlington that I went to with a bunch of my friends. The concert was Darryl Worley, Jessica Andrews, and Kellie Pickler. It was a lot of fun and we got to stand right near the stage for Kellie Pickler. I was suprised that big names of country like them would want to come to tiny Arlington but they seemed to enjoy themselves- it is really pretty where they were playing by the river. So itwas 7:00 when the concert got over and we even left before the last song-- then we had to wait over an hour in the parking lot before could make our way out to the street. (The drive to the venue only took me about 3-4 minutes) The wait in the darn parking lot was insane. Then I thought about going back to Redmond that night at about 11pm- I decided against it so that I could watch the olympics- this was a smart choice I later realized. I woke up the next morning and got ready for work I was suppose to be in Sammamish at 11:00 for tutoring. I was driving down the freeway - I was about 10 miles from my parents house and then my car started overheating. I called my dad and we tried to put in antifreeze but it wouldn't stay in the car- so we ended up towing it to a shop to get it fixed. I was scared the bill was going to be huge but luckily it was much lower than I had expected. My sister let me borrow her car- I didn't make it to tutoring but I made it to the daycare on time. Then yesterday I was at the beach with the kids and I got a phone call from an elementary school offering me an interview for a kinergarten position. Luckily my dad is taking a class in the same town as my interview so we are trading cars so I can have mine back! I am nervous about the interview but I feel prepared since I taught kindergarten as a long term sub last year. Once I know the results I will post a blog.

Trapped

So, I wake up on Friday morning at 7:10am because I have to be at work by 8:00am. I take a shower and then I accidently cut myself on the leg. I walk to my bedroom door to go and get a bandaid that is in the other bathroom. I turn the handle to the door but nothing happens. I then get dressed (I decide this is a good thing to do in case someone has baricaded my door and is hiding to try to kill me or something on the other side) I then try with all my might to get the door open but it is just not happening. The metal part that moves in and out in the door is stuck (later to find out it was installed incorrectly). So I get a screw driver from Sam's tool box that he keeps in our bedroom and I take the door knob off. The whole taking the door knob off thing does not help me get out of the room but it does let me see through a tony whole that indeed I am the only person in our apartment. Then I decide to call Sam to come save me. Problem is he is about 30 minutes away playing basketball. Finally he comes home and ends up having to break the door down because their was no other way to get the door open. I ended up being 20 minutes late to work but I did have a good story to tell as to why I was late.

Not quite the perfect job

So as stated in my last post I was looking for an easy laid back job where I could come in anytime I felt like it. Instead for a summer job I got a job where I am on my feet 24/7 running around and working 40 + hours a week. I work as a teacher at a daycare. I fill in for whatever teacher is on vacation for that week. This week I am the preschool teacher (ages 1 year 1 month- 2 years 11 months) All of them can walk except for one but you can only understand the talking of 2 or 3 of them and none of them are potty trained. So basically I entertain babies, change diapers, clean up messes, and chase babies around. Yesterday I only had 4 kids. Today I had 10. Luckily if their gets to be more than 7 they have to get another teacher in to help me. This morning they were having a screaming battle and just about every single kid was screaming and crying at the top of their lungs. Sam says this is good birth control for me. I actually still think they are super cute even if they can be extremly annoying and they are soo much work. I was watching John and Kate plus 8 yesterday I don't know how they do it! I can handle it for the 8 hours but after that I am so exhausted and I just want to sit in silence for like the rest of the entire day! Still no interviews for a real job- hopefully they will happen soon. I heard before I should get a bunch at the end of August-- so we will see. I am taking a week vacation the first week of August so I am excited for that. I will be relaxing in the sun and resting-- it will be nice! Now, I get to go cook dinner and clean my own house... yeah!!

job hunt

I am in search of an easy, relaxing job where any day it is sunny out I can call in and tell them I am not coming in. I would also like it to pay atleast 15 dollars an hour..... So that would be my dream job but since I most likely will never find that job let alone a job like that that wants someone only to work for the summer I guess I will have to settle for something else. So far I have applied at a few daycare centers-- although if they scream at the kids I am outta there! I also am hoping to get a real teaching job soon. I have not had any interviews yet- once reason is because my letter of intent is not turned in yet. I will be sending that out tomorrow. I looked today and saw a half time kindergarten job posted which I would be interested in- I prefer full time but half time is better than nothing. This weekend was very busy Eilidh's bacherlette party on Saturday, Kyle's graduation party on Sunday, and out to dinner for Father's Day with Sam's Dad Sunday night. That made me miss the woman's gymnastic trials- luckily Kati taped them for me on tivo so I will be able to eventually watch them. I am about to go take a nap and play my DS now. Unfortunatley this morning there was asuper loud leaf blower that was keeping me from sleeping (it was 10 am- but I like to sleep!) At 5 I am about to go to a dance class at the gym. I learned some crumping last week at it-- let's just say I need practice still!!

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Well since it has been almost 2 months since my last post I decided to post one. I have not had too much excitement substituting lately-- But on Monday I did have a kid squirt a bunch of hand santatizer into the drinking fountain (he took off the metal handle and then squirted it into the the plastic area)- Then the same kid gave me a note that said "you have a big butt" (this kid is in first grade) I am not sure if the note was intended for me because I said what was that you just put in your desk and then he handed it to me- but none the less that is mean! The kids have such bad behavior because it is the middle of June and they are still stuck in school! It is almost worthless to even try to teach anything because they are so zoned out. I told the kids today they wouldn't get there yearbooks if they kept blurting out and not following directions- that shut them up pretty good and after I said that they had pretty decent behavior.

On Tuesday I went to my brother's high school graduation. It was kind of sad to see him graduate because in my eyes he is still a little kid. He is planning on going to a community college near my apartment and most likely living with Sam and I. Also he will find out soon if he got into this prestious choir... and will also find out if he got a scholarship as well. He already got a little over a thousand dollars in scholarships so that is better than nothing. I had way better grades then him and I got a lot less scholarships then he did. I guess people tend to give you more scholarships if they know who you are (that was not my goal of high school at all) and my brother is pretty hard to miss. (He thinks he is Mr. Funny and about 60% of the time I agree) Also my sister and my cousin are graduating from college this coming weekend. These pass two summers have been so loaded with things. Last year I graduated and got married and now this summer my sister and brother are going to college and my brother is moving out. (My is still living at home even though she is 25!) The weekend after next I am going to be in my best friend's wedding- so that should be fun. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. I am pretty much very much ready for summer. I am still in the process of finding a summer job. I had an interview at a math tutoring center and they told me I had the job I just needed to take a math test first. I took the math test and it has been over a week and I have not heard back-- so I am guessing I failed that math test!! It was 5 pages long and took me 2 hours. It had things on it that I had not done since elementary school. - oh well a summer full of math is not my dream anyways! I should be hearing from a summer program that deals with homeless and low income children soon. They called me yesterday for an interview but I wanted the other location so that location should be getting back to me soon. Well there is your update! Sam had his championship basketball game tonight at 9pm against a team of 50- 60 year olds (they have lost to them twice already) They lost by like 30 points last time to these old guys!! I think it is funny but him team finds it embarassing. I will have to say those old dudes can shoot like nobody's business- everything they shoot goes in! Also last week we signed up for Golds. I like to take the classes. I took Yoga last Wednesday and it went well and I liked it a lot. Saturday I took Step Class. The only spot was in the front row--- I accidently fell off the step machine and the whole thing came apart with a loud crash and the entire class stared at me. The teacher told me to give it 3 classes and she said I did well ( I think that was a pity compliment) It was a lot of fun and I got a great workout-- so I think I will keep doing it even if I look like an idiot doing it. Oh yeah and most of the class is like 50 and way way better than me! I have a hard time moving my arms and legs at the same time. I bet watching me is pretty much like watching the charelson video ( you know what I mean if your one of the lucky ones that saw it!) Oh yah then I had yoga again last night and we had a substitute teacher. She was a weird one. She kept saying things like "Your body is a miracle" and " paint a rainbow with your heart... watch the colors explode" and also she had us dedicate our class to someone and at the end we had to send it off to that person. If you want me to dedicate a yoga class to you just leave me a comment and I will be sure to do that!

Tonight Sam and I are going to the (maybe) last sonics game ever played in Seattle. They probably won't win-- but last time I went to the game they did beat the Cavs- so I guess miracles do occur. Yesterday Sam and I went to his parents house and Sam worked on his stereo. It was 80 degrees outside which is insane especially because it snowed here a little over a week ago. Today the weather is back to its normal 50 degrees so it was such a treat for it to be nuce out yesterday. I spent the day reading outside on the porch. This resulted in one my shoulders being completely fried and the other one is still white as ever. We met up with some of our friends and went to Red Robin for dinner. Then we talked our friends into buying rock band and we went over the their house and played for a few hours. I really like that game a lot and everytime I play I get better (that is on the guitar--- my singing pretty much is destined to stay the same out of tune sound) Although the game likes my voice because I hardly ever fail singing and I usually play on medium. I slept this morning until 11am which is pretty much my standard time for waking up if I have a choice. The only thing I have done today is read (a new book since I finished my other book yesterday and I also did laundry and helped clean our apartment. Our dish washer broke so we spent a great deal of time doing the dishes- me washing and Sam drying. Hopefully the sonics with actually win tonight that would be a nice way to end it all. I am driving back to Arlington to teach kindergarteners once again-- which is usually a lot of fun but does indeed test my patience.

I know it has been forever

Back by popular demand-- I will now post a blog. So, here is an update of what I have been up to recently. As most of/ all of you know I have a long term sub job for my best friend teaching kindergarten. I started that at the beginning of March and I have about 2 weeks left. I would have to say that she has quite a difficult class. The plus side of this is that I am gaining a lot of great experience practicing my behavior management skills. The downside of this is that it is hard to get a lot done when you spend so much time dealing with behavior. Don't get me wrong most of her class is great and they are really nice kids but there are a few that really push my buttons. Overall I have a lot of fun coming up with creative ideas for projects but at times I become quite impatient with some of the students behavior. I love the creative freedom you have with kindergarten but I think that I might be a better teacher for older grades (2nd or 3rd) I subbed in a 2nd grade class a few days ago. It was so nice to be able to turn my back for like 1 minute and not be scared that the whole class was going to fall apart. So, pretty much kindergarteners are very needy- but they are pretty much all 5 so I don't blame them or anything... I donno I am unsure about wanting to teaching kindy in the future. So other than subbing I have not really been doing a lot. I have been getting a chance to hang out with my friends and family a lot more because I am in Arlington 3 days a week now. I have been helping my brother with his senior project. He is dedecorating my sister's old room. So far we have got all of the wall paperoff and he have primed and painted the room. My brother and I also (mostly just my brother) completed one of the sections of the mural. He is going to paint a few walls with music/ movie images. So far we are done with an image of Shawn Connory (as James Bond) and a oo7 logo. It has turned out really well so far and really does look like him. Last night I came back to my apartment and then Sam and I went to his basketball game which started at 8:30pm. Sam's team pretty much got creamed. The other team seemed to make just about every shot they took. With about 10 minutes left in the game Sam got elbowed in the nose. He got a large gouge on his nose and it was gushing blood every where. It was so bad that he it looked like it needed stitches. So Sam being who he is decided to tape it up and play the rest of the game. It was so bad it was like seeping through the tape. So after the game I took him to the ER and we waited only an hour an a half which is pretty short for the ER. They steristripped his nose (taped it closed) and told him he would have a nice scar. So then we finnaly got home at midnight. We watched part of American Idol Gives Back (which we had taped) and then went to bed, I decided not to take a job today because I was so tired and Sam has today off too. So now in a little bit we ae going to the craft store because Sam needs to buy some fabric glue so that he can work on the box for his sound system he is building for his car. Oh and I am waiting to hear back because there is a possibility that Kati and I might be able to go to Lousianna for a week for free to work with Habitat for Humanity to build houses for Jimmy Carter weekend and Jimmy Carter will even be there. I will update this once I found out if we get to go or not.

Something strange- and this posting will not mention school!

Last night Sam and I were watching TV and waiting for our freind to come over so that we could go to the gym where the boys were going to play basketball and I was going to do the stair master and run on the treadmill. So we get a call from his friend and we can hear his friend talking on his phone to us (he was right outside our door). (mind you we live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building and outside of our door is covered because there is a roof covering the stairway and walkway. So apprently his friend went to open our door and thir was a bird perched on the door knob. So then he had Sam turn the door knob from the inside and the bird went flying into his friend causing his friend to scream like a little girl. Then the bird tried to fly away but only made it about 5 feet and then it is still there this morning so I am assumming it was hurt and is no longer alive. I just think overall that is a weird place for a bird to perch of all of the trees and normal places it decided to live its last moments on our doorknob. I took out my hand sanatizer and covered the entire knob with it-- so those germs are gone don't you worry!

update

This past week I only had to work 2 days: which was so nice! I was in a class that I love and have so much fun with... I also will be there tomorrow as well! I don't yet have jobs set up for Tuesday or Friday but I am sure something will come up. Soon I will be taking a long term job in a Kindergarten but will still be subbing in various classes 2-3 days a week. I am nervous about the Kindergarten class but I am sure I will survive. This weekend on Friday I was so tired that Sam and I went out to dinner and then got home at about 9:30 and I fell straight asleep.. I first fell asleep on the couch and barely made it into bed. Saturday I went to Sam's basketball game- his team lost by 1 point! Then we went to a potlach dinner and a friend of his mom's house. Then we went to a friends house and played this crazy game. The game is called Quelf (or something close to that) every card has a different rule and I ended up #1( having to act of a touch down dance that had to include shaking the junk in my trunk) #2 acting like Santa Clause and anyone who sat on my lap got to move an extra space and also tell me what they wanted for Christmas #3 touch raw eggs and then yell out "All Hail to the Chinese Cheeseburger"--- yeah it was a weird game but it was a lot of fun! Then today Sam had another baketball game but I stayed home and cleaned up some of my messes and just relaxed.. then we went to Subway for lunch and I tried to buy some grocerys at QFC but they were sold out/ Didn't carry the three things I went in there for: Bluberries, Chaos (this chip mix), and ripe avacados. So... tomorrow after school I will have to stop by again because they said they should have the blueberries and ripe avacados. Right now I am watching TV (we don't have cable anymore because we are saving 60 dollars a month to only get the basic channels) That money is supposed to be used on a gym membership but we haven't gotten that yet and I don't really fore see that happening anytime soon- but maybe!

Vacation!!

I am so excited because we get Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off of next week! I Feel like I really need this! I had a full day everyday this week. I classes were all good but I feel like most days were pretty involved so I was busy the entire time with stuff to do. Yesterday I subbed for a friend and her class was great, but it was Valentines Day and I was there for the party so that part was chatotic I told all of the kids only three peices of candy each but some of the peices were huge! Also, they had cupcakes and juice and one of the candies that was brought in was a giant bottle of colored sugar--- so yes, they were so hyped up! This class today is really calm here is why: 4 kids were absent and now 5 more have left early (because of the mid winter break they are leaving early for vacations) So I am down to about 15 students! Plus they are 5th graders so they are really self sufficiant and the most obnoxious one just went home!! For Valentines Day Sam got me a hot pink I-Pod Nano.. I have been wanting an I-Pod for a while now but I have no idea how to use the thing. We went out to dinner to his Mexican Place that is not very fancy but tastes really good. We went to the theatre to go see the movie Step Up 2 but we would have had to wait around for a few hours for the next one- so we just went home and watched Deal or No Deal. I think that we are going to Bellingham for a day or 2 during break. I have not been there since June when I graduated from college. We are going to our favorite resteraunt Lemongrass and then he is visiting a friend- We are going to my parents on the way home. Also I think that the dresses for my friedns weddign will be in so I am going to try that on and hopefully the thing will fit so we won't have to mess with reordering or making modifications to it!

What is up

So, today I subbing for a music teacher. The thing about music teachers is that they don't trust subs to sing songs or do musical things with their students. In my case that works out well since I can hardly carry a tune. But it also makes the job pretty boring because they assign you to do things like have them play musical instrument bingo and watch movies- (ones I have seen a million times (those Disney Sing a long song movies from the early 90's). Also you only have each class for 30 minutes so if they are annoying they are gone fairly quickly. Right now I am just wasting time because one of the teachers came in and asked if her kids could not come today because they are working on a project in their class. So I have a 1/2 break and then one class and then a 1 hour 15 minute break.... Also my last class is at 2:42 and school gets out at 3:15 --so basically I am getting paid today to not do much at all. I did teach the 6th and 5th graders "Big Kid" I mistakenly told the first group to play it as Big Birdy but told them some people call it big booty- so they all kept saying that and I kept correcting them so they wouldn't get me in trouble! Anyways some of the kids really got into that so that was cool the downside is they also cannot carry tunes and they totally were playing the game wrong and I was trying my hardest not to correct them! So, I have not written in a while so I will now go into what I did this weekend. On Friday I was suppose to go and watch my brother's choir sing in Bellevue but Sam made other plans and I did not want to go by myself so I went over and hung out with Jodie at her house. On Friday the boys played a basketball game and Jodie and I went and saw "How She Move" which I thought was a good movie. The plot was perdictable and not great but, the dancing was amazing. Sunday we went over the TC and Jodie's and watched the Superbowl and ate a ton of junk food. The game was really good I thought and I was glad that Eli Manning's team won! - Now it is fair both brothers have now won a Super Bowl. I have been playing my DS a lot I wish I would have brought it in my purse today so that I could play during all this free time! I need to find some new websites to visit when I am bored because I am getting tired of all of my old normal ones. I can't wait for the weekend because I feel like I really need sleep (I know it is only Monday!)

News

I have three stories to share that have happened recently and I have 7 minutes to share- so I will make this quick

Story 1 TINA

so, I am subbing for a special ed teacher and she tells me this about Tina " she has one behavior goal and you will meet with her for 10 minutes." So I am thinking this will be quick we will do the paper and be done-- that is not exactly what happened. So I walk in and Tina is reading a book so here is the convorsation that went on

Me "Tina put that book away it is time to start class"
Tina --- ignores me
Me "Tina put that book away"
Tina-- ignores me
Me "Tina is you don't put the book away I am going to take it away and I won't give it back until the end of class"
Tina- "Fine I will give it to you........ when pigs fly"
Me- Snatches the book out of her hand
Tina -screaming bloody murder "You're a theif- You're a theif" We were in a tiny office right next to the regular office and right next to a ton of class rooms
Me- Puts book on my lap and starts lesson
Tina- does lesson without complaining
Me (lesson is over) "Next time what are you going to do when you want to read and it is time for a lesson"
Tina " I will give you my book.... then I will pass out"
Me " You got half right yes you will give me the book"
Tina " And then I will faint and you are too a theif I saw you...."
Me " you have never seen me before"
Tina " I once saw you steal a cookie- you did you are a theif"
Then her para came in and took her to her regular class

So overall I guess I am a thief and I still cookies in my spare time (although I don't even like cookies"

Story 2 Poop Boy

I walk into this first grade class that I visit often- I had a few spare minutes so I come in to see if the teacher needs copies made or anything. The minute I walk in this little boy walks up to me. The teacher is in front of the class teaching a whole group lesson. I have poop on my shoe he says. So I get a wet wipe and clean his shoe- then we go back to his desk for him to sit down. There is dog poop smeared all over his chair, all over his desk, ground into the carpet under his desk, smeared on the underneath part of his desk. So it was so discusting I had to get wet wipes and clean it all up. Then just as I think the job is done he comes up to me again and shows nme how it is all over his pants. I was done with this nastyness. It smelled so bad I wanted to puke. I walked him down to the office and made his mom come and bring him new pants.

Story 3
I was so tired this morning. I was so tired I thought of canceling work- but I couldn't because I had promised this teacher that I would come in and take her class so she could test. So then decide to turn on the TV just to make sure that we had to go to school on time (because there was a small amount of snow on the ground) turns out we had 2 hour late start and I got to go back to sleep for 2 hours! That was very exciting!!

That's all for now-
