I have three stories to share that have happened recently and I have 7 minutes to share- so I will make this quick
Story 1 TINA
so, I am subbing for a special ed teacher and she tells me this about Tina " she has one behavior goal and you will meet with her for 10 minutes." So I am thinking this will be quick we will do the paper and be done-- that is not exactly what happened. So I walk in and Tina is reading a book so here is the convorsation that went on
Me "Tina put that book away it is time to start class"
Tina --- ignores me
Me "Tina put that book away"
Tina-- ignores me
Me "Tina is you don't put the book away I am going to take it away and I won't give it back until the end of class"
Tina- "Fine I will give it to you........ when pigs fly"
Me- Snatches the book out of her hand
Tina -screaming bloody murder "You're a theif- You're a theif" We were in a tiny office right next to the regular office and right next to a ton of class rooms
Me- Puts book on my lap and starts lesson
Tina- does lesson without complaining
Me (lesson is over) "Next time what are you going to do when you want to read and it is time for a lesson"
Tina " I will give you my book.... then I will pass out"
Me " You got half right yes you will give me the book"
Tina " And then I will faint and you are too a theif I saw you...."
Me " you have never seen me before"
Tina " I once saw you steal a cookie- you did you are a theif"
Then her para came in and took her to her regular class
So overall I guess I am a thief and I still cookies in my spare time (although I don't even like cookies"
Story 2 Poop Boy
I walk into this first grade class that I visit often- I had a few spare minutes so I come in to see if the teacher needs copies made or anything. The minute I walk in this little boy walks up to me. The teacher is in front of the class teaching a whole group lesson. I have poop on my shoe he says. So I get a wet wipe and clean his shoe- then we go back to his desk for him to sit down. There is dog poop smeared all over his chair, all over his desk, ground into the carpet under his desk, smeared on the underneath part of his desk. So it was so discusting I had to get wet wipes and clean it all up. Then just as I think the job is done he comes up to me again and shows nme how it is all over his pants. I was done with this nastyness. It smelled so bad I wanted to puke. I walked him down to the office and made his mom come and bring him new pants.
Story 3
I was so tired this morning. I was so tired I thought of canceling work- but I couldn't because I had promised this teacher that I would come in and take her class so she could test. So then decide to turn on the TV just to make sure that we had to go to school on time (because there was a small amount of snow on the ground) turns out we had 2 hour late start and I got to go back to sleep for 2 hours! That was very exciting!!
That's all for now-

Last day until vacation
So, today is my last day of teaching until winter break. I am excited because I have been subbing everyday so basically I work as much as a teacher but get paid a lot less- but also I don't have to plan the lessons so that is a big plus side. I woke up extra early this morning to get gas and liek every single enterance and exit were blocked my various trucks- (dropping off chips, gas , and cleaning the car wash) it was impossible to get out of the gas station going the direction I wanted to go so I had to go back the direction I came and turn around- it was way too much thinking for early in the moring. I have a nice class today and sub for the first grade team here sort of often so I know the kids decently well which helps. Christmas is coming up so quickly and I still have a few people to shop for actually it is mostly only people on Sam's side of the family that we need to shop for still. I am looking forward to our trip to the beach for New Years- I am not looking forward to the super long drive though!! Tomorrow my sister and I are going to my grandma's to bake cookies with her and then I am helping in Jamie and Eilidh's class rooms on Thursday and Friday (Jamie if your reading this I haven't told you yet but I am going to your class on Thursday) I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday season!

So, today I am subbing at my favorite school to sub at because the people are so nice and I know a lot of the kids. In this particular 4th grade class I know about 75 percent of the students and this is my first time being in this class. Yesterday I was in a 6th grade class. I knew I was going to have my hands full before I even met the kids. The paper said watch out for (then listed 9 students names - they tend to get out of control) There was only 22 students in the class and one was absent - so nearly half the classes name was on the list of " Bad behavior"- Overall I had no major problems and this morning the teacher called me to thank me and told me that she heard that her kids actualy were good for me and that it was almost a miracle. It is nice when teachers actually appreciate you! This weekend I am gonig to my friend's wedding. I still have not gotten her a present so I will have to do that soon. Next weekend we have two parties to go to- one at my aunts for a gift exchange game and on Friday we are going to a white elephant party at one of Sam's coworkers houses. Tomorrow and Friday I have a 2 day job teaching Drama at an Elm school. I have been to the school before and seen the teacher in action. She wears a like Hannah Montana head set and dances around and sings and says to the kids act like you are the wind- I like to act like an idiot in front of kids so it should be fun! The class is heard on the stage in the lunchroom so every person that enters the school gets to see you- so that is the downside. I don't mind acting like that in front of kids but I prefer to seem sane in front of other adults. This weekend Sam and I went to the store and picked out some toys to give to toys for tots. We also went to the grocery store and bought a whole bunch of food to give to the food bank. It feels really nice to give to others. I feel like I have everything I could ever want/need right now and I know a lot of people do not have it as good as I do. This huge storm we just had made me decide that we need to get renters insurance. So many people lost things in this past storm so I think it is important that we have insurance to cover our stuff.

Break
I had a nice Thanksgiving break-- I didn't have to work for 4 days and as of now I don't have a job for tomorrow or the next day so I may be getting a 6 day break. I do have jobs lined up for every single day in Decemeber. So, I won't be getting another long break anytime soon. I am subbing for a teacher for 4 days starting Wednesday and she told me that the principal is going to come in and observe me- so that is kind of nerve racking!! But that most likely means that there is a long term job open at that school which would be excellent! I like that school a lot and the people are great! Thanksgiving was nice we went to my parents house and to Sam's dad and stepdads house. On the day after Thanksgiving I went shopping with my mom, sister, and grandma from 5:30am- until about 3:00 or so then Brittany and I (Sam's 16 year old cousin) went and saw Enchanted which was a very cute movie. We had the weirdest people that were sitting around us- I guess that might have been because we saw it at a threatre near the University of Washington and kind of the hippy area. I watched the Seahawks today and they won which was very exciting. My cousin came over because he is having my old car. Sam and I then went to the grocery store and I just cooked and ate dinner. In a little bit I will be watching extreme home make over and amazing race. I am also in the middle of watching a hard fought sonics game.

So, yesterday I had a full day junior high special education job. I get there and it ends up being a behavior classroom and the first note on the lesson plans say " This is a behavior classroom be aware and prepared that things might happen in here that you would not expect to happen in a regular classroom." Let me tell you-- many things did happen that were unexpected in there! First off I have heard swearing before but I heared more swearing then I have ever heard in my entire life yesterday in that class and I also heard some words I did not even know exhisted. Another thing is they were all 8th and 9th grade boys - so most of them had atleast 50 lbs and 6 inches more than me. One kid was freaken out because he found out his mom was sending him away to a boarding school- That is a good reason to flip out I guess- but he was screaming and kicking things - another student who later got suspended and had to go home threw a table across the room- this kid also called me a lot of really rude names which I will not repeat- because I was "staring at him" - we were trying to watch a movie and he all the sudden made noises like a chicken or something so I turned around to see what that horrible noise was! The upside was that my friend Jodie was also subbing at that school- so it was nice to have someone to eat lunch with and hang out with afterschool because sometimes the other teachers are not exactly friendly. Sam and TC (jodie's husband) played basketball after work and Jodie and I hung out and got pizza and stuff then the boys came back to their house and we played video games ( wellt he boys did more than the girls) and ate dinner. Today I have a half day special ed job at an elementary- the teacher didn't have anything ready and I had to really hunt for the lesson plans- then since it is the day before a long break none of the teachers sent their students so I pretty much did not much at all! It was quite an easy 66 dollars!
